The AAUP-UD Welcomes Fifty New Members, Three New Department Representatives, and One Executive Council Member

Since we at the AAUP-UD began a membership drive this past September, fifty new faculty members have joined. We welcome all new members to the AAUP-UD! We will continue to send out letters and emails to nonmembers and to ask our department representatives and steering committee members to speak directly to their colleagues about joining. If you know of any faculty members who would like to join, you can direct them to the link below or to the “Join Now” link on our home page at aaupud.org. The stronger our numbers, the more influence we will have at the bargaining table in 2020-21.

This fall, the AAUP-UD also welcomed Prasad Dhurjati as an At-Large Member of the Executive Council. He replaced Martha Buell after she became Contract Maintenance Officer. Welcome, Prasad!

Finally, the AAUP-UD recently welcomed three new department representatives: Jeff Fuhrmann, Department of Plant and Soil Science; John Jebb, Department of English; and Arild Hestvik, Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science. Welcome, Jeff, John, and Arild!
